Emily graduated Magna cum Laude from Carthage College, and has been coaching and mentoring students to help them improve their academic performance and executive functioning skills for the past eight years.

In college, Emily founded an academic support program that went on to become a campus-wide community of tutors and support resources for students. She has personal experience mentoring students with ADHD, students with learning differences, and students on the autism spectrum. She is also trained in mental health first aid and crisis intervention and has a toolbox of strategies she uses to help students cope with emotionally difficult situations.

When she was a student, Emily struggled with organization and time management and avoided asking for help because it felt like admitting failure. But once she finally turned to her teachers and parents for support, she realized what a wonderful resource it was to have people she trusted to help her along the road to success.

Emily is a very patient, encouraging coach who strives to create a safe space for students where they can learn new skills and strategies without fear of judgment or criticism. She knows that accepting support can be scary, and wants her students to realize that it is never too late to ask for help, and that every challenge or stumble is an opportunity to learn and grow.

An adventurer at heart, Emily loves to hike, run, and spend time outside however she can and enjoys spending time with her younger sister and her kitten Finley.
